SaaS companies tend to use a lot of other SaaS products. At Receptive we definitely do. If I listed them all it would be a blog post in and out of itself.
But I’m not here to talk about the tools we use, I’m here to talk about how Receptive works and integrates with other tools.
This is an important factor for companies that are thinking of purchasing Receptive, and so I felt this post was a good way of clarifying.
I’ve listed some of the most popular product management tools, and explained how Receptive works with them.
JIRA
JIRA is a great tool for helping to keep developers on track with their projects, and communicating what they need to work on.
A lot of SaaS companies use JIRA for that purpose, and so we built a way of directly integrating Receptive with JIRA.
Our integration creates an issue in JIRA when a Receptive request reaches a certain stage. This automatically keeps your Dev team in the loop, showing them what they need to work on next.
It also populates your Receptive release log when a task is completed in JIRA, ensuring your customers are instantly kept up to date.
Our JIRA integration means you can automatically keep your Dev team in the loop with any product decisions you make.
Zendesk
A lot of companies, and I mean a LOT, use Zendesk to manage their help documentation and support tickets.
A common complaint we hear from other SaaS companies is that their Support team is often inundated with product feedback and requests.
Integrating Receptive with Zendesk effectively eliminates that problem completely.
When a Support ticket comes into Zendesk that is actually a feature request or piece of feedback, your Support team members can add it to Receptive with a click of a button.
This prevents feedback from clogging up your support tickets, and also automatically keeps the customer who made the request in the loop.
This will save your Support team a whole lot of time.
Salesforce
Salesforce is one of the most popular CRMs out there, and a lot of SaaS companies use it.
Prospects can be a great source of feedback and so your Sales team will often input ideas into Salesforce. This isn’t always accessible by Product teams.
Integrating Receptive with Salesforce overcomes this issue. Requests submitted to Salesforce are easily and quickly transferred to Receptive, and shared with your Product team.
Prospects are also notified of any change in status, so your Sales team don’t need to worry about keeping them up to date.
This saves your Sales team time, and might just turn those prospects into paying customers.
GitHub
GitHub is commonly used for software management by a large range of SaaS Dev teams.
Much like the use case with our JIRA integration, the issue is communicating product decisions to the Dev team, so they know what to work on.
Receptive integrates with GitHub through Zapier. You can create zaps that establish a seamless workflow between Receptive and GitHub.
For example, when a request in Receptive changes status to “Building”, it can be added to GitHub. This allows automatic communication between your Product and Dev teams.
A Perfect Fit
We think it’s really important that Receptive works with a wide range of other tools so that it can fit seamlessly into your workflow.
We’re often working on new integrations, and Zapier allows us to connect with thousands of other SaaS tools, so you can rest assured that you’ll be able to implement Receptive into your organization without any fuss.
